A Book a Day Keeps the Stupidity Away

It is my opinion that any good home has a library.  No matter how modest or grand.  We decided to make our "formal living space" into a library because we aren't "formal" types.

Here are a few photos of the progress.  The units are 8 feet tall, and take up one entire wall.  They are attached to the sub-floor and the walls so that they don't tip.  There is a half shelf with doors on a short angled wall.  We will get unfinished short bookshelves to flank the couch for "end tables" of sorts. That way we can match them to the built-ins.  The crowning jewel will be a toddler-sized faux leather fancy chair for Wren, so he can go in and comfortably read whenever he feels moved to do so.

Taken through the plastic while Jesse was sanding:

Slid the camera through a slit in the plastic to get this one:

We can't wait until we are done in there!  It's going to be a fantastic room!
