Buddies In Action.

Here are a couple of shots of the nightly ritual that Wren and Daisy had. Wren would sit in his booster and eat his dinner. Upon completion, we would get him out and he would feed Daisy whatever had fallen into the seat area. Funny little friends.

Gake-Ooo, Santa.

This year, Wren's "Santa-Gift" was a pretty impressive one.

Fare Thee Well.

Extraordinary guardian, beloved companion, and a sweet soul. She was Wren's first friend, and her name his first word. She seemed to find her greatest sense of freedom and peaceful joy at the beach. She was happiest when we were all together, as she was a protector by nature (even saving our home from a fire one night). She was always looking out for us. Our first born, and Wren's big sister ~ Daisy will be greatly missed. xoxo

Wren is Fourteen Months Old!

Today Wren had his first hair(s)cut. We went to Mark's Barber Shop (where Jesse goes), and had his sweet baby curls lopped off. He was so good sitting in the chair with the scissors, the clippers, and the blow dryer whirling all around his little head. He even smiled a few times.

SWM Seeking Play Buddy.

Today Wren tried to engage Daisy in some play activity. I watched him walk over and pick up his big, red four-square ball. Then he sat down about 10 feet away from her. He faced her and rolled the ball to her. It went right to her, but she was less than interested. She glanced at him, the ball, back at him, then resumed her snooze. That's when Wren said, "Daisy! Ball! *pause* Daisy! Ball." When she still didn't respond, I went over and started playing ball with him. Who could resist that?

P.S. - Wren is currently obsessed with playing ball. Playing ball + reading books + playing with electronics + jumping = his favorite things.
