Flight Risk.

Sorry about the orientation. I was not able to quickly figure out how to flip it, and I don't have the time to look into it right now.

Thank You, Grandpa!

Just in time for the Super Bowl! Which I get to watch this year with my Uncle Wendell. So fun! Hike!

Food for Thought.

This year, we spent very little at Christmas time. However, what little we did spend helped:
  • Provide 426 cups of food for the hungry;
  • Save over 2,000 square feet of rain forest (for now);
  • Plant 30 trees to restore American forest areas damaged by wildfire.

Jesse.

Some time last year (I forget exactly when), my brother and sister came up to visit. During this visit, my brother, Jesse, and our friend, Andy, all went fishing. It was during this fishing trip in which Kyle invited both Jesse and Andy to go to Alaska with him this summer for his annual fishing trip.

Jesse really, really wants to go... and I really, really want him to go ~ for a number of reasons. I think that he deserves it (he's been working two jobs and playing in two bands to help keep us afloat), he LOVES Alaska, and I think that he would really enjoy the guy time up there with my brother enjoying the fresh air.

It is my understanding that Kyle has been going for a few years now, and that he goes with/meets friends up there. These friends provide lodging at no cost. Plus, the guys pretty much eat what they catch and send the leftovers home. So, this trip is one that is "done cheap."

That being said there are still things to buy such as: plane tickets, ferry fees, fishing licenses, and food (for unsuccessful days on the line ~ sorry fellas).

So, for Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Cinco de Mayo, his birthday, or any other day that you were thinking about sending Jesse a treatsie, I can safely say that funds to help make this trip happen would be appreciated above all else.

Thank you.

Oh yeah, and he doesn't know that I am posting this. Shhhh... ;-)

Drive-In Theater.

Trampoline.

Here's footage of Wren utilizing one of his birthday presents. This model is actually for ages 3 to 5, but he seems to navigate it pretty well. He even caught a little air (about an inch worth) the other day.

2010.

May those who lost loved ones find peace. May those who found sadness replace that draining feeling with with joy and light. May those who lost their jobs find new, even better ones. May those who found baked goods lose them from their hineys and chins. May those who feel that they have nothing left in them find out that they actually do. May those who feel alone find comfort in a nearby loved one. And may those who need serious relief find a winning Lotto ticket (just not at jackpot level because we're claiming that prize). Best of luck to everyone in this fresh, new year.
